Meet the Rabbis

Rabbi Sholom KalmansonRabbi Sholom B. Kalmanson, Ex. VP, Chabad of Southern Ohio & Spiritual Leader, Congregation Lubavitch

Rabbi Sholom B. Kalmanson is Executive Vice President, Chabad of Southern Ohio, and Spiritual Leader, Congregation Lubavitch.

Today, Rabbi Kalmanson is the longest serving Rabbi in the greater Cincinnati area.

Rabbi Kalmanson merited to be the first personally chosen Sheliach-Emissary of the Rebbe to bring Chabad to the greater Cincinnati area.

Thanks to his dynamic leadership, Chabad of Southern Ohio boasts today many diversified Religious, Educational, Social and Outreach institutions.

Mr. Murrey GuttmanMr. Murray Guttman, Chairman, Friends of Chabad of Southern Ohio

Mr. Murray Guttman has been serving as Chairman, Friends of Chabad of Southern Ohio, since it's inception some three and a half decades ago. He is one of the founding fathers of Chabad of Southern Ohio who has been shouldering it's financial burden ever since its establishment.

A developer and philanthropist, Mr. Guttman is a pacesetter for charitable activities on a local and national level. He is involved in all noble causes.

He is affectionately known in Cincinnati as "the father" of Chabad of Southern Ohio.

Rabbi Mendy KalmansonRabbi Mendy Kalmanson, Chaplain

Rabbi Menachem M. Kalmanson is Rabbinic Chaplain to local area Federal, State, City and County Prisons. He also serves as Chaplain to local area police forces. He is affectionately known as "Rabbi Mendy."

Rabbi Mendy MajeskiRabbi Menachem M. Majeski, Youth Director & Tzivos Hashem Director

Rabbi Majeski serves as youth Director, Chabad of Southern Ohio. He also serves as Tzivos Hashem Director. As such, he directs Camp Chabad Summer and Winter camps. Camp Chabad boasts some 350 campers per season.

Rabbi Shlomie AscherRabbi Shloime Ascher, Program and Activity Director, Camp Chabad:

Rabbi Shloime Ascher serves as the Program and Activity Director for Camp Chabad Summer and Winter camp. He works out all daily activities for the various age groups of camp. Working with the counselors, Camp Chabad has proven to be a great success.

Leah MajeskiMrs. Laky Majeski:

Mrs. Laky Majeski heads the successful child pre-school educational program in the Amberley area. The program has developed a reputation of great achievement. Children of all backgrounds are students in this program.

Rabbi Shney KalmansonRabbi Shneur Z. Kalmanson, Rabbinic Administrator:

Rabbi Shneur Z. Kalmanson is the Rabbinic Administrator, Chabad of Southern Ohio. His responsibilities include all Rabbinic administrative functions, including setting up Holiday and festival events, Ritual Circumcisions, religious wedding ceremonies, as well as all Rabbinic related programming.

He also serves as Director of the Hebrew speaking division of Chabad of Southern Ohio. He reaches out and coordinates activities with the Israeli Hebrew speaking community.

Rabbi Shneur Z. Kalmanson is also charged with the development of the local Chabad community. He assists new arrivees and locals to locate in the Chabad community.

He is affectionately know as Rabbi Shney.

Rabbi Yitzi CreegerRabbi Yitzchak Creeger, Director, Chabad at UC:

Rabbi Yitzie Creeger is the Director of Chabad On Campus activities. Situated on UC Campus, Rabbi and Mrs. Dina Creeger provide a 'Home Away From Home' to UC College students. Situated in the heart of UC campus, the Creegers provide the full gamete of Chabad Services on Campus. Housing, Kosher Meal Plans, Hospitality, Shabbas and Holiday Meals, Shabbas and Holiday Services, Torah classes, and socializing activities.

Rabbi Eli KarasikRabbi Eli Karasik, Program Director & Administrator, F.R.E.E. Russian Center:

Rabbi Eli Karasik is Program Director & Administrator of the F.R.E.E. Russian Center in the heart of Roselawn. This Center offers full time, 9 to 5, daily Congregate socializing activities alongside hot and cold Meals to the senior Russian-speaking community of Cincinnati. The Center serves as a "Gateway" to the United States of America and into the greater Cincinnati Jewish community. It is the "Home Away From Home" for these senior citizens, and attracts a clientele from a variety of different backgrounds to attend its daily activities.

Rabbi Gershon AvtzonRabbi Gershon Avtzon, Founder & Rosh Yeshivah, Chabad-Lubavitch High School:

Rabbi Gershon Avtzon is the Founder and Rosh Yeshivah of the Chabad-Lubavitch High School in Cincinnati. The Yeshivah High School Mesivtah was established in Elul, 5756 (September, 2006) and doubled in its enrollment in just two years. Rabbi Avtzon also lectures on a full array of topics
